Help me give my students the energy needed for learning by providing snacks to help ensure they are able to focus on learning and not on if they are eating today.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every child deserves a fair chance at success, regardless of their economic background.
Yet, for my students in high poverty schools, basic supplies like textbooks, pencils, and even nutritious meals are not guaranteed.
Did you know that often I (the teacher) spend $200 a month of my paycheck to provide these essentials? It shouldn't have to be this way.
