My Project

This is my second year running an after-school program where students stay after school to complete homework and work on getting their grades up. I stay after every Wednesday and have around 10-12 students each week who stay with me. The goal of my project is to supply students with healthy but tasty snacks while they stay after school. I surveyed my students and asked them what snack they want and they listed items like Frito-Lay baked, pretzels, Hint waters, juice boxes, Pringles and more! It's also always nice to have some candy as a little treat at the end of the day. For this project, I added a small mini fridge so I could keep the drinks and fruit cups cold for my students.

I want to fuel my students who are hungry to complete homework with healthy snack options.

It's always nice to be able to offer students a treat when they are putting in the extra work to get their grades up and understand the content!
