My Project

I work at a Title I school with students that come from disadvantaged households. Despite their personal issues at home, my students are ambitious to learn in school. They constantly go above and beyond when the support and resources are offered to them. However, unfortunately, food insecurity is plaguing our NYC classrooms in public schools such as mine.

For many of my students they are hungry in school and that is the factor that prevents them from performing well.

For many of my students the meals provided to them are the only one in the day. Your support and investment in getting my students healthy nutritious meals and snacks would help ensure that they thrive academically, emotionally, and psychologically.
