My Students

My students are ready to learn and eager to collaborate and create. They are engaged and are challenged to be innovative and to be problem solvers as they learn to collaborate and become critical thinkers.

"We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools.

We must make sure that people who have the grades, the desire and the will, but not the money, can still get the best education possible."-Barack Obama. Many of my students' families often struggle financially. This group of learners is excited and ready to learn and to have the technology tools available to them ensures that at school they have what they need to thrive.

I am the Computer Lab Tech for our school. Over 400 students visit the lab each week. Our TK-6 elementary school is a 93% free or reduced-price lunch school with 53% English Learners. Students learn robotics, coding and computer science. Students work as scientists, inventors, and engineers. They compete in robotics competitions and develop a passion for learning STEAM. Students are full of potential and are an incredible group of learners. I am so lucky to learn alongside them.

My Project

The 3D printer replacement supplies that I am requesting for my students are needed to continue to bring their 3D designs to life. Every day, we see first-hand the amazing things elementary students can do when presented with a problem and given the equipment and supplies needed.

Having the 3D printing supplies for hands-on learning position students as creators.

With 3D printing, students become designers and creators using cutting-edge technology to visualize and create their own imaginations. Having the supplies gives them the opportunity to use their STEAM skills and become problem solvers.

When students are given the supplies to create, it helps them feel confident and they develop the confidence that allows them to pursue challenging courses. It is important to have the supplies they need to explore and grow their imaginations and cultivate innovation. As you can see, 3D printing makes it possible for every student to dream bigger and better. I truly need your support. Thank you
