This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Remember the fun of swinging your hips around all while keep a plastic ring in motion. Let my students learn the wonderful skill of hula hooping.

I teach pre-K through the 8th grade in an urban environment.

My students are very energetic and excited when they arrive to class. They love playing games and activities. My students do not receive much physical activity outside of school. When they are in the gym, I make the most out of each class. The more equipment I have the more my students will be able to experience.

My Project

I am requesting two sets of 12 plastic hula hoops. These hoops well be used to teach the kids how to hula hoop. My students will also learn different hula hoop skills such as spinning the hoop and then jumping in and out of it. They will also learn how to roll the hoop so it returns to them. My students will also complete cooperative hoop building tasks by creating castles with a team.

Hula hoops are a fun way to teach students how to move their bodies.

They are also a great way to teach kids about personal and general space along with working with others to create a task. We are in need of more hula hoops to allow every student to have one to use instead of standing around waiting for their turn. Please consider supporting my project, every second counts.
