My Project

Huda F Are You? is a graphic novel by Huda Fahmy, a first generation, Muslim American woman negotiating her new world. Huda F Are You? is set in Huda's new high school in Dearborn, Michigan. The book explores Huda's encounters with Islamaphobia, Xenophobia, and microaggressions.

I am requesting a class set of Huda F Are You?

Huda F began as a web comic. Huda Fahmy created single panels and short anecdotes about being Muslim in America. She called the online, comic strip "Are You Hot?" because that's the number one question she gets about wearing a hijab.

Huda F will give my students an opportunity to experience a different world view. Thank you.
