Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Fact Number One: Low-income students attend college at much lower rates than students from families with higher incomes. Fact Number Two: Low-income children are less likely to have access to technology and the Internet. Fact Number Three: Technology in classrooms motivates students and has the potential to improve learning. One Clear Answer: Close the digital divide between kids who have computers and those without, enabling more children to develop the skills that will help them succeed now, and in the future. Having an HP netbook will allow my students to also take reading comprehension tests from our Accelerated Reader program. Less waiting to take a reading test means more time reading the next book. Please help us get technology for a much-deserving classroom. Help me provide my students with a netbook computer that is ready to use the moment it is opened. I’m sure together, we can help towards the purchase of technology that will help close the digital divide. Technology that will prepare students for the 21st century, and technology that will motivate students to higher levels of achievement. I thank you in advance for helping us build this ladder to the stars together.
