Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach the most wonderful first graders. My students are hard working and love to learn. My students live in a low socio-economic area and have few resources. The families are supportive and hard working. The community is mostly apartments and rental houses.

Most all of the families do not have computers or access to the Internet. I would love to give my students the opportunity to learn using technology. Our district has a new math program which includes new technology learning materials for students.

The new HP computers would allow my current students and future students to use technology as a tool for learning. The HP computers would allow my students to use the new math program and to use resources for learning on the Internet. The new computers would allow my wonderful students access to resources many do not have at home.

You will help my students learn how to use technology to learn and give the students time to work independently. Your thoughtfulness and generosity will give my students access to opportunities they do not have now. You will make a difference in the lives of my first graders for years to come.
