This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First graders are amazing! On the first day of school, they come in as little, living sponges. Everything is exciting and new! Their energy and curiosity are contagious. Watching them learn and grow makes me hungry to give them every opportunity possible. My sweet students derive so much joy from simple things.
"When life gets messy, you always have a clean slate to figure it out!" We would love to have our own dry-erase white boards and erasers to practice our reading, writing, and math.
These boards and erasers can be used on a regular basis. Our students love using the whiteboards to write down answers when we learn about money. It's important that they practice their financial literacy with our magnetic coins and bills on these magnetic whiteboards.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
