My students come from high stress and high poverty households, which in turns creates a lot of trauma for them. My students are being taught how to handle these big emotions is socially acceptable ways. Many of my students when they feel frustrated or whatever emotion many tend to fight or destroy the room that they are in. In my class there is a break space that I have been working to help them use when they are angry. However all of the supplies in the break space have been well used and are now garbage and I am out of supplies to restock the space.
My students need various tools to use in the break space to help them learn to channel their big feelings into choices that won't end then up in jail when they are older.
I don't want to see my kids continue to get suspended or eventually expelled from school because they can't handle their anger or big feeling whatever it may be correctly.
