My Students
I teach second grade at a Title I school in Michigan. My students are always so excited to learn new things. My goal is to provide them with multiple ways to learn and show their learning. This year, my students have a wide range of abilities and instructional needs. I need ways to help best reach them as learners.
My students are a fantastic group of kids who enjoy learning.
I am on a mission to pass on my love of learning to my students. My classroom is a haven for them. I want to provide many fun and engaging learning opportunities for them, along with a comforting environment.
My Project
The past two years have been challenging for students across America. This year’s second graders have never had a normal year of school. This has put these students behind academically where second graders are typically expected to be. As a second grade teacher, I am going to do everything in my power to help these students grow to their fullest potential.
These second graders deserve opportunities to learn various reading and math skills.
One way that I hope to do this is through Hot Dots. These will allow students to use a pen software to answer questions. They will get instant feedback if they are correct or not. There are so many skills from math, reading comprehension, sight words, and phonics. These activities will greatly help my students practice these skills.
