Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am enacting 'sacred reading time' for my students where they spend the first fifteen minutes reading books of their choice. This is designed to reinvigorate their love for reading and literature in general.

I ask the students what type of books they're interested and a great deal of them say horror books.

My classroom library is comprised of books from the staff book room and most every other genre is represented except for horror. This project is designed to add a good amount of horror options for the students to choose from.
