Help me put the wonder back into learning! I am currently a 1st grade teacher in a small rural school in North Carolina. With new legislation comes more and more work for these youngest of students. My desire is to put the fun back into some of our learning time. Having time to explore our world would help my students' mind begin to turn with ideas and creativity. So much of our day is spent reading that we rarely have time to investigate science. I would like to have a computer microscope in my classroon that children can use freely. These microscopes open up not only the smallest portions of the world around us but help to create imagination for our writing experiences. Children benefit from exploration. It expands their minds in ways that even I can't touch. Please help us explore the world around us. Help these hard working students and many more to come by opening their minds even more.
