My Project

These food items will continue to enhance the nutritional needs of our homeless students. My room is a place that students really enjoy - I provide breakfast items, personal hygiene items, and school supplies for over 50 homeless students. All of the materials donated go to the students who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence. Many mornings these students arrive tired, hungry and without the supplies they need for a successful day of school. By having these items on hand every day encourages their attendance.

Having spare backpacks in my office will help our students carry their items back and forth without the fear of not being prepared.

Providing food, hygiene items and school supplies is the difference between coming to school or being absent due to these items are not always readily available for them. We want all our students to be prepared for school and have a safe place to learn.
