This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school construction class has taken on an innovative project: transforming a shipping container into a fully functional and stylish home. This hands-on experience has given our students the opportunity to learn about sustainable building practices, creative design, and the challenges of working with unconventional materials. As we approach the final stages of construction, we need your help to furnish the interior with a couch, a chest of drawers, and a bed, completing our container home and making it a true living space. While our students have successfully transformed a metal shipping container into a livable space, the project is not yet complete.

To turn this container into a home, we need essential furniture pieces that will provide comfort and functionality.

However, our budget for this project has been stretched to its limits, and we need additional funds to purchase a couch, a chest of drawers, and a bed. These items are critical to showcasing the full potential of a container home as a viable and comfortable living solution.
