Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd graders are sweet, creative, caring, and funny! They are hard workers and always try their personal best. Every single day, they are happy and excited to be back in school. I love going to work daily and helping them grow academically.

My Project

Our classroom library is a special place! My students are really good at taking care of our books. We have a daily 30 minute reading block and my kiddos love independent reading opportunities. They are always so excited to read and I would love to continue to encourage their excitement to read by giving them books to take home. This way they can also read to their family members, stuffed animals, and/or to their pets.

Some of our students are from low income families and need extra support with books at home.

This book project will enrich my students' ability to become stronger readers from home.
