This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are bright, inquisitive, and industrious. They love hands-on opportunities and chances to be creative. Thankfully, they are all technologically proficient as well. Who would have known at the beginning of the year that we would all be at home now E-Learning? We didn’t see that one coming far enough in advance. My students are adapting to this new type of instruction. Children are so resilient.
I miss them and regret that we did not finish our hands-on science projects.
I miss our morning meetings, which we cannot have virtually until all the students have internet connections. They deserve a top notch education even if they can’t go to school. I need some supplies that I don’t have at home for teaching and they are needing supplies at their homes. Every child is entitled to the best of the best. My hope is that I can provide that for them during these uncertain times.
My Project
The classroom setting has changed for me and my students. We are all working from home and in need of school supplies. My students need supplies, like pencils, crayons, and construction paper. I need an easel which will help me teach my students from home. I will be able to present a writing project, math problems, or literacy ideas and my students will be able to complete school projects at home with crayons, construction paper, and pencils. Then they will be able to work on their special projects at their homes.
