Holocaust Personal Story

Help me give my students a personal story of the Holocaust. Through these readings we can connect on a personal level. The stories and sacrifices made should never be forgotten.

My Students

We are a small school and a true definition of 7 degrees separated. My students are welcoming and compassionate as I look forward to bring with them every day. I love when the students come back the next day and describe their night discussing the classes topic with family at home.

Within the classroom, my students are engaged and eager to learn through multiple activities.

Whether we are working as individuals or groups my students are always willing to lend can hand. My students leave my classroom intrigued wanting to know more.

My Project

Books are stories of personal histories. My students will be able to read the story of one person's experience through the Holocaust.

The most authentic learning is when is connects to more than one sense.

The book, Sevek and the Holocaust, connects to the reader emotionally. These emotions often stick with the students to encourage conversations and further learning on the topic.

Determination and will to survive through anything are lessons that students need to be taught. We are not aware of everyone's situation, but this book will help guide each of them through good and bad times. Learn from our mistakes and make sure that history is not repeated.
