My Project

The goal of this unit of study is to inspire kids to embrace the complexities of historical fiction- to dive into these complex novels with curiosity, to read dozens of pages a night and to immerse oneself in the lives of these characters and conflicts!

This book will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create.

My hope is to inspire my students to be fascinated with history and historical fiction.

The book Night has been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them the past few weeks of school reading titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to learn about the Holocaust and the many social issues that occur. The book study would allow for numerous engaging conversations and opportunities to discuss serious issues.
