My Students

Every school day, I love observing the different strengths each child possesses and how they grow so much each and every day! When you walk into my Second Grade classroom, you will see a room filled with scientists, musicians, artists, authors, athletes, dreamers, and scholars.

As a teacher, I am always looking for engaging ways to help transform my lessons to make them exciting and engaging for my 2nd graders!

Despite all of my students' academic differences, I love seeing them come together and work as a team!

This is my fourth year teaching in an elementary classroom and I couldn't be more thrilled to see these eager learners enter my classroom and continue to grow throughout the year! The 18 active learners in my classroom are all connected by homes in rural South Dakota. About 47% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.

My students are creative, fun, eager learners. I want to create unique experiences where they will remember their learning! These kids continuously put a smile on my face and are the reason I love coming to school each day!

My Project

These materials will allow my students to experience how different countries celebrate Holidays Around the World. Students will get to learn about the Mexican culture and have their shot at hitting the Pinata stuffed with candy, go to Italy and make their own broomstick to learn about La Bafana, they'll learn about their own country and how to make a cookie tray for Santa, and learn about England to create Christmas cards to give to someone special!

The students will love learning about all the different countries and interacting in different ways to show how people celebrate their own Holidays Around the World!
