My Project

My first graders are full of joy, curiosity, and kindness. They come to school each day eager to learn, even when life outside the classroom can be tough. Many of my students come from families facing financial hardship, and for some, our classroom is the place where they feel safest, happiest, and most celebrated. They remind me every day that small acts of love can make a big difference.

This holiday project will help my students feel seen, valued, and included by giving them a joyful celebration to remember.

With your support, I can transform our classroom into a winter wonderland with garlands, snowflakes, balloons, and festive table covers. The photo backdrop, glitter glasses, and decorations will create the perfect cheerful space for fun and laughter. The bingo game, glow tattoos, and crafts will keep students engaged in teamwork, fine-motor practice, and creativity while celebrating together.

Each child will also receive a small gift bag filled with items like squishy toys, bracelets, and stickers to take home — a token of holiday joy that some may not otherwise experience. These resources will allow every student to share in the spirit of giving and community, reminding them that school is a place filled with warmth, belonging, and kindness.
