This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Allow me to purchase books, in Spanish, for my growing population of Hispanic students.

Help me diversify this urban high school's collection.

The library's current collection is not reflective of our students taste, language preference or personal experiences.

Currently our library's holdings are 1 percent Spanish. Yet, our student population is over 60 percent Hispanic. The library currently has no budget to purchase books. So, we are wholly reliant upon donations to acquire library materials. Your donation would allow me to purchase popular fiction, in Spanish, to encourage students to read for enjoyment in their native language.
