Hokki Stools for Classroom Comfort

My Students

Sitting for long periods at one's desk on an uncomfortable chair is unappealing. No longer is that necessary. Now we have the Hokki stool. This ergonomically designed stool is finally available as a solution for children who once fidgeted at their desks.

My fifth grade students are bright, eager to learn, kind to one another, and they bring their enthusiasm to school every day.

They come from many countries and bring the beauty of diversity to our school. We live in one of the most diverse parts of the country, the borough of Queens in New York City. Multicultural perspectives bring a wealth of perspectives to our school community but we have a common goal of helping our students achieve academic success. Often the families whose children attend our school have sacrificed a great deal to be here. We realize the importance of providing the best resources and learning environment to our children so that they will have the requisite skills to access the best opportunities.

My Project

Hokki stools are remarkably designed for comfort. They are ergonomic and precisely what we need in a class of active energetic fifth graders. We have an exact number of chairs in our room but often have to drag them over to our writing center or computer desks where the children work on laptops. The stools are just the right height, lightweight but able to support an adult, comfortable and easily stored. They are just what we need and it would be so much more efficient to have the 3 stools than to continually drag uncomfortable chairs across a room. The comfort they offer allow a student to sit and focus on the task at hand. Cleverly made, durable and reasonably priced, these are just the seats the children would love to have.

We'd love to have 3 inviting well designed lightweight but durable stools for the children to use at our writing center and computer desk.

They store easily and who wouldn't want to sit comfortably while working? There is no budget for furniture so this proposal is our one hope for acquiring these fabulous stools. We're hoping to have these bright additions to our classroom and then we could finally stop dragging heavy chairs around the room.
