Your contributions have created a vibrant, supportive space where students can engage in meaningful sensory experiences that support their development and well-being. The room has truly transformed into a haven for exploration, movement, and comfort thanks to your kindness. \r\n\r\nMy students who receive occupational therapy are especially thrilled with the new equipment. They were so excited to see the new additions as the items arrived. They now look forward to their OT sessions with renewed enthusiasm and joy, finding the new swing and kinetic sand not only fun but also deeply therapeutic. These tools are helping them regulate their bodies and emotions in order to improve their focus in their academics. It's inspiring to see their excitement grow as they discover new ways to learn through play and movement, and your support is directly responsible for this positive impact.\r\n\r\nIn addition to OT sessions, many other students who have sensory or emotional needs are now using the room throughout the day with a staff member as needed. It serves as a calming retreat where they can take a needed break, regulate their emotions, and return to class better prepared to learn. Your generosity has made it possible for these students to access a space that supports their unique needs, empowering them to thrive both emotionally and academically. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in their daily lives.","fullyFundedDate":1747663906003,"projectUrl":"project/a-touch-of-calm-enhancing-our-sensory-r/9336270/","projectTitle":"A Touch of Calm: Enhancing Our Sensory Room","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wurem","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1486989"},{"teacherId":1631397,"projectId":8596281,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all your donations. My Kindergarten students screamed with excitement when they saw Dot Paint and Play Doh. These are materials that they do not often have at home or use at school. The smiles on their faces were the biggest I have ever seen.\r\n\r\nI brought out the Dot Paint for a special 100th Day of School activity. Each student was given 4 strips of paper. They were able to use any color and decorate it how ever they wanted. Once dried, we connected the paper to make a chain for the 100th Day of School.\r\n\r\nAnother day, in the morning, I told the students that I had a very fun surprise for them. I had explained how proud I was of how kind they have been to each other, and they deserved to do something fun. When they saw all the Play Doh they jumped and screamed with excitement. Each child came over and picked whatever color they wanted to work with. It was so great watching them use their imagination and create many amazing things.","fullyFundedDate":1724357013930,"projectUrl":"project/kindergartners-are-ready-to-learn/8596281/","projectTitle":"Kindergartners Are Ready To Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1631397"},{"teacherId":412730,"projectId":8897929,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the clay, specialty clay tools, clay cutter, clay extruders, and assorted clay rollers. It is because of donors like you, that my students have the opportunity to create artwork in various mediums. \r\n\r\nClay is such a wonderful art medium to work with as it is so therapeutic in nature. Students can express themselves in an entirely different modality and many find it to be fun and soothing to the soul. Thank you again for your generosity. My students and I are overwhelmed by the number of ways the world has provided educational outlets. When I put up a project for funding, I am not sure if it will be completed or archived. I always hope for the best and in most cases I am surprised but pleased at the result. Every few years it is nice to give the students updated technology in the art room, even if in the form of a tablet. This lets us explore the possibilities of the world around us and reference things needed for a project. Thank you for helping us keep this process alive.
