My Students
I teach a wonderful, diverse group of second-grade students with the majority of our class being English Language Learners. Our school is located in California's Bay Area. We are a Title One district and all students receive a free breakfast and lunch.
If you were to ask my students what their favorite subject was, reading, art, and math would be among the most popular answers.
They all work hard and they love to learn. I consider myself very lucky to be their teacher.
My Project
I am requesting one Hokki stool for my classroom. These unique stools allow my student to sit and be active at the same time. The base of the stool allows movement from every direction, while the body of the stool is stable and durable. The stools are fairly light which makes it easy for my second graders to move them from place to place.
These stools are especially great for my kids who have a hard time focusing.
Moving around on the stool helps them to pay attention to the content of the lesson. This stool will help my students be successful!
I have a few in my class already and they are a hot commodity, but they have a hefty price tag. The only way I can provide my kids with this resource is through the help of donors like you. I am also requesting some colorful pens that they can use to liven up their classwork.
