I work at a charter school in North Salt Lake teaching Physical Education, Health, and Yearbook. A lot of our students through no fault of their own suffer from behavior disorders under many different diagnoses. Despite that, they try very hard to improve their station in life and to learn coping skills that will allow them to adapt to society as best as they possibly can. They are very unique. They are also, for the most part, caring and loving individuals.
My Project
We will use this equipment to teach the students coordination, gross motor skills, and how to work as a team in a number of different sports. The games we will play will help with their physical fitness, as well as, hand eye coordination, physical education skills, and learning how to play different sports.
We would love to get to a point where we can play these different sports and games so that they will be able to enjoy them as much as we do.
This equipment will make a difference in the lives of my students and help them have the confidence that they can do anything that they give effort to.
