Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are so creative and bright. Each one has their own unique voice that I try to bring out of them in the art room. We create artworks that highlight them as individuals and allow them to use their own voice and vision. I try to make my art room welcoming so that my students feel comfortable being themselves while exploring different materials and techniques.

These items will allow me to get my new group of students going with creating artwork right away instead of waiting and surpassing the budget limitations we have on a small campus.

My goal with this campaign is to use these supplies to have students create a portfolio to hold all of their artwork for the year and experiment with all of the materials we have available to us. I will be covering collage, basic painting techniques, and idea generation exercises to have students design their portfolio.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
