History Teacher Looking to Make Learning Fun Under COVID Style-Instruction!
Help me give my students the ability to have a full curriculum that is downloadable and engaging while having to operate under a hybrid or e-learning model.
My students are kind, energetic, smart teens who enjoy learning and being pushed to succeed. As my school is low income with most students on free or reduced lunches, academia is sometimes not held in high regard in their family units. However, I want my students to strive to be the best they can be to push themselves to prepare for after high school, college or not. One of the biggest problems facing students around the country, and especially at my school, is literacy comprehension. I am trying the best I can to come up with fun creative ways to engage students under the new hybrid model my school is implementing due to COVID 10 with a possibility of moving towards 100% E-Learning! With the 2020 election months away, it is imperative students understand American History as some may be voting or will vote in future elections.
My Project
To help teach the upcoming school year that will have restrictions due to COVID 19, I have found a Curriculum Bundle through Teachers Pay Teachers that is a living bundle that includes Google Drive access; updated 2019! I am eager to spice up an e-learning environment and found a great source that is out of my price range to purchase myself! My students need all the encouragement and motivation possible and I think this will encourage them to be active learners! In this bundle, students will work independent of a textbook while having access to all curriculum from Colonial Era through the 21st century. They will have access to weekly engaging Jig-saw and other group activities, Four ESCAPE ROOM Classroom Activities, with an Innovative in-class currency system to engage and motivate students! The bundle also helps me by having 14 editable quizzes + keys, 4 multiple-choice tests + keys (includes Midterm and Final), 14 short answer questions + keys, 8+ essays to choose from + keys, Simplified essay and project rubrics and Reviews!
