History, Military, and Books for Boys

Help me give my students books about history so it's not forgotten. Having a large number of early teen boys who enjoy reading about military bravery and war experiences, I want to have an abundance of titles available.

My Project

Since our school's Veteran's Day celebration and meeting a Holocaust survivor/author via Zoom, my students have been inspired by history. I want to flood my shelves with this particular genre to keep their interests peaked. We use many World War II books to springboard our research at the end of the year to write papers and learn about writing in MLA format. These books will help jumpstart and encourage knowledge through the different avenues for topics, as well as teach them about our rich history.

Please help provide titles illustrating the courage of our veterans and war survivors for my students to learn and enjoy.

These types of books help cultivate empathy for not only the war heroes (military and otherwise) but various cultural differences as well.
