This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students find reading boring and tedious due to their reading skills being far below grade level. The Scholastic magazines have truly made a difference for them. I would love to continue growing their passion for reading by again providing them with Scholastic magazines.

Students who learn differently need different modalities of learning, and that's what the Junior Scholastic and Storyworks do for social studies and the Storyworks does for language arts.

Providing high-interest material benefits all students. For the past 3 years, the magazines that Scholastic offers have not only been used within the special education classes but have also been shared with my general education co-workers, who have also greatly enjoyed them.
