My Project

My students are curious, resilient, and eager to make connections between the past and the world they live in today. They thrive when learning goes beyond a textbook, and they have opportunities to investigate, question, and form their own conclusions.

This project will provide the printed primary sources and instructional resources my students need to become true young historians.

Students will examine historical photographs, maps, letters, speeches, documents, political cartoons, and other firsthand evidence. Having these materials in their hands will allow them to closely analyze historical perspectives, identify evidence, ask meaningful questions, and support their ideas with information from the past.

These resources will also help make learning more accessible for all of my students. Printed materials allow students to annotate, highlight, compare sources, and refer back to evidence as they participate in discussions and complete writing activities. Instead of simply learning what happened in history, students will have the opportunity to investigate why events happened, how people experienced them, and how those events continue to influence our world.
