History Game Day Fun!!!
My students need additional help with learning geography by getting us 10 Days in Africa Game, World Map 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle and World Map 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle.
Help us find our way in the World! My students come to me in the 7th grade not knowing world geography. We start each unit with map activities, but many do not know their continents either. Knowing world geography is an important skill to have them learn.
I teach in a middle school in California, where 60 percent of the population is on free or reduced lunch.
Students do not have much access to any extras. I try to fill in the gaps as to what they have not learned before coming to me.
When I start each unit it becomes evident that they have little to no experience with world geography.
Since, I teach World History it is important for the students to see and understand where these people come from. We do map activities, but some still struggle with remembering details of countries. I just came across this geography game and instantly thought about my students.
This project is important to me because it gives me another tool to help inspire my students to learn.
My hopes are that when they leave me at the end of the year, they have learned their world geography and have gotten a better understanding of the world.
