My BTC journey started one and half years ago to help my students experience a newer, more productive and effective way to learn. The abundant supply of markers, sturdy erasers and whiteboard spray allow me to use BTC seamlessly in my classroom, and my students are learning without unnecessary interruptions. \r\n\r\nDuring my Social Science and Language Arts classes, we use the whiteboards and pens to brainstorm writing topics, complete Wicked Hydra tasks (asking questions about pictures based on the topic of study, and draft group paragraphs on narrative and expository writiing.\r\n\r\nDuring my math classes, students often solve Problem Strings, an entry level word problem to introduce the topic of the week, or complete in class practice problems to show their understanding of various concepts.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to have access to the dry erase pens on an ongoing basis. With 160 students using pens throughout the week, there will be times when students need to repalce them. I know have a surplus station of erasers, pens and spray so students can independently retrieve the necessary items as needed. \r\n\r\nOur next steps include creating a proportionality poster by writing, solving proportional tables and graphing the information on the whiteboard.
