Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love my students and want to make sure they get what they need to be successful in the classroom! History isn't everyone's favorite subject, so this is why I try to keep my class moving and use hands-on activities. The flipchart pads are helpful for doing group projects (such as making posters) or gallery walks. My school does not have AC, so my room gets very hot throughout the year. The fan will help students keep their minds on their studies instead of the heat!

Everything on the list will help students feel "at home" and prepared to stay engaged in the classroom.

It's no surprise that when students are engaged, they do better in class. Help me by providing the materials, and I'll handle the rest!
