The students at our school are constantly working toward being stewards of our watershed, empowered decision makers, historians and conscientious community members. We are located in south-central Montana, just north of Yellowstone National Park. We are an active, artsy, outdoorsy and environmentally aware community. Being engaged with our "backyard" keeps us connected to our community.
Our daily goal is to explore learning through personal experience.
My Project
Students need free access to books honoring Spanish, Mexican, Caribbean, Central American and South American heritage. Requested here are 30 titles that will help develop our library to life outside of Montana. Exposure to this literature with help foster a world view and acceptance of human diversity.
Creating visibility and the opportunity to experience quality literature will foster awareness of the Hispanic American experience.
Building empathy and honoring the variety of cultures in our world can be experienced through quality literature. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage is one of our library's cultural goals.
