Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our High School Theatre program has been expanding faster than I can keep up with! With have a new production class, incorporating sewing and construction and our after school program has over 60 performers leaving us needing more microphones among other materials. We are keeping up with most of the demands but find ourselves always in need.
Our theatre program has expanded to yearly musicals with our school band playing along!
This composition means we have to mic students to hear them over the live orchestra. We have several older microphones but as our program has grown we have had more students than ever eager to be a part of the shows. For this reason I am requesting a small microphone system to add to our existing one. As well as a few extra headsets for our existing bodypacks.
Our technical class needs all kind of additional supplies. basics like paper and scissors as well as technical Theatre basics like tie line and gaff tape. I teach basic sewing skills so we go through a lot of thread as well. All of things things individually help our students learn hands on.
