High School Mathematicians in Need

Help me give my students all the pre-sharpened pencils, loose leaf paper, Expo markers, snacks, and hand sanitizer they need. Each year my students use all the items in the cart and more. We appreciate your consideration.

My Project

I chose each item intentionally. Each student will receive a binder from me in which they will have paper and (if funded) a binder pouch which will house 2 pencils, a highlighter, and a pen. The binders will remain in the classroom, thus eliminating the need for the students to spend time asking/looking for those items which they will use on a daily basis. This will not only save time, but also will remove the stress of students not having what they need or being prepared to learn.

This supports my goal of this project: to make our mathematics classroom a space in which we all feel prepared, supported, and encouraged to learn.

I have been a teacher at my school for 4 consecutive years. In this time, I have come to recognize many of the needs that my students have. They need water and snacks every now and then. We need copy paper as students do not have one-to-one electronic devices here. We need printer ink so I can print resources, worksheets, assessments, etc. with my in-class printer (that I, unfortunately, had to purchase). Any and everything supplied on my list will assist the students in my classroom on their mathematics journey. Thank you so much for reading and considering giving us your support. I spend many of my of own personal funds on ensuring that my students have as much of what they need as I can supply, but it takes a village!
