Help me give my students high quality masks as we head into winter.

My scholars are terrific and love to learn! Our school was the first in our district to start an ELL program in 1945. The school lost about forty-five percent of its student body when Japanese Americans were interned during World War II. Our school's vision states: "We honor and cultivate each child’s individual gifts and talents while developing academic excellence and social-emotional strength. We empower children to contribute positively to our diverse and dynamic society through lifelong learning and personal integrity."
Some of our scholars experience housing instability or homelessness.
With your support, students will use new tools to fill their minds, hearts, and imaginations with learning, wonder, and joy.
Did you know one of the most important predictors of graduating from high school is reading proficiently by the end of third grade? I serve as an academic intervention specialist for primary literacy. My goal is to bring children's reading levels up to or above grade level.
I'd like for our scholars to have higher quality masks than the district provides as we head into the winter. These are high quality disposable face masks for kids which is designed to offer more protection than the 3-Ply kids masks the district provides. Our county put out recommendations for the new Omnicron variant that included high quality masks. I teach young learners whose district-provided paper masks often get wet or soiled, rendering them ineffective.
As we head into winter, with more indoor recess, colder weather, and less ability to open up windows, I'd like to keep our scholars healthy and safe.
These masks are highly rated as comfortable, breathable and come in fun colors. Also included are a set of masks for the teacher. Thank you very much for your consideration!
