Hi Ho Hi Ho Fluency Is Our Goal!

My students need a Reach the Goal! Fluency Progress Chart, the Classroom Fluency Station and a Fluency Skills Listening Center.

My second graders can be found working each day in pairs and small groups to increase their learning. We come from a small rural community with a high population of economically disadvantaged students.

Our number one goal this year is to improve our fluency level. Students need to work on reading rate, accuracy, and using voice inflection.

Students will begin by setting a personal fluency goal and posting it on the goal chart. Students will work daily with partners and in small groups to focus on different fluency skills using the fluency centers. Each Friday students will check their reading rate using timers and move their markers on the goal chart as they improve.

Help us become more fluent readers by donating to our cause. We are hoping to begin our centers soon with your help!
