Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Introducing a microwave, soft lighting, snacks and Alexa into our room will provide essential amenities for students' daily needs and well-being. These additions will create a more comfortable and efficient learning environment supporting academic success and student satisfaction.
Many of my students come from low-income households and may not have electricity from time to time.
Making sure they have these things readily available to them at school is important to the community around me.
Alexa will serve as a new tool for interactive learning. It provides instant access to information and will increase engagement within the classrooms. The lights will help combat fluorescent lighting which drains students of their energy. Speaking of energy, high school students are ALWAYS hungry. Having snacks available can be the difference between and student focusing and sleeping.
