Ms. Moore from Euclid OH is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a digital graphics tablet and a presentation remote to have material presented to them in the best way possible.

I teach fourth grade in an urban school setting. Many of my students face challenges in school and at home. Many of my students have diagnosed medical issues that stem from ADHD, emotional disturbance, homelessness, bi-polar disorder, to having a learning disability. Most of my students come from a home in poverty and many of my students don't live with or know their biological parents. These students amaze me each and every day. Some face adversity outside of school, but come to school willing to learn and engage each and every day. This comes with some challenges that I have to overcome, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of all of my students. The school I teach in is a K-5 elementary school where we focus on providing positive and rewarding experiences for our students. We want to build each student's self-esteem and prepare them for their future.
The materials requested will help my students learn in the best possible way. I have mostly visual learners in my classes and being able to present material in the best and most efficient way possible is important to me. Being able to move around the classroom while still accessing the already available technology is important. I strive to not be the type of teacher that just stands in the front of the classroom and lectures, but I am not able to use the current technology when I move away from it. With your donations, I will be able to present material in an exciting way, while also interacting with the students and providing more opportunities for them to be engaged.
The graphics drawing tablet is wireless, so I will be able to control the electronic white board that I have in my classroom.
Think of it like a mouse that also writes, but it is wireless. With this item as part of my classroom, I will be able to interact better with students. They will also be able to use it to show their work and explain their thinking to their classmates, which is a big part of fourth grade. Students love interacting with technology, so by them being able to use this in their lessons will help them be more engaged.
The bluetooth smart pointer is also similar where it allows me to flip through presentations that I have made to teach material. Students also learn how to make presentations in Powerpoint and Google Slides in technology class this year. I like to have students practice that skill and they will be able to present their work while using this tool. They can use this tool to best present their work.
