Helping Those in Need

Help me give my students the medical treatment they deserve when they come into the clinic by helping me fully stock my clinic with needed items. Having disposable clothing for students with bathroom accidents will definitely help too.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work with an excellent group of elementary children, PreK-5th grade. Our student population primarily consists of Hispanic and African-American children who live in a low poverty area that is stricken with crime. As a school nurse, I provide numerous services for students, staff, and visitors.

My goal is to attain a few more first aid items for the school clinic, attain hygiene items for some of the less fortunate students, and provide disposable clothing to the students who have bathroom accidents.

My Project

The first aid items such as the Xl band-aids, eye wash, and 4X4 gauze will continue to be used in the school clinic to treat students, staff, and visitors who need minor first aid treatment.

Having deodorant, soap, and toothbrushes in the school clinic will definitely help the students who are in need of hygiene products.

It also helps to rectify the hygiene issues seen at the school and raises a child's self esteem when they are not being judged or mocked for coming to school unclean. The disposable pants will help treat the numerous bathroom accidents that I see on a weekly basis.
