Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 9th graders in a Title I school. My classroom is taught in Spanish, where students who do not know English yet receive the opportunity to learn the content in their own language. By providing these graphic novels in Spanish, students will be able to read like their peers.

We are in a community where students have very little access to books.

I am hoping that students learn to love reading by providing this library of books. The school is very diverse and many of my students are migrants and refugees.
