My Project

Hello everyone! The school I will be at is also welcoming around 200 students from a nearby school that closed, so many kids will be starting their final year of elementary school in a brand‑new place they didn’t choose. I want to make that transition feel safe, steady, and welcoming for them. As I prepare to transition to a new school, I need to gather various supplies. For the past few years, I have taught 4th grade, but this year I am moving to a new school and up to 5th grade, so I need a few things to help me adjust to this change. You might notice that I have included some “non-traditional” school supplies alongside the usual items (like deodorant, body wipes, and toothbrushes). I work at a Title 1 school where many of my students do not have access to these essentials at home. Additionally, I have included engaging games to help challenge students' minds and foster their growth as learners. Some of my favorite memories from the past few years have been sitting on the floor and teaching my students new strategy games. I have also included healthy snacks for those who may not have enough food at home, along with various other supplies that will help create a successful school year for my students. I appreciate anything you can offer, including moral support or simply sharing this classroom list. Thank you!
