Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Over the years as a School Counselor, I've always had young ladies approach me in need of hygiene supplies during their menstrual cycle. As middle schoolers most of these young ladies are in the early stages of learning how to adjust to life with a period. With that being said, sometimes I have the supplies they need - often I do not. This project is designed to ensure I have heating pads for my ladies to ensure that they can continue getting through their school day as comfortably as possible. The heating pads provide immediate relief to my students and they are useful with helping to alleviate cramps they may be experiencing that distract them from being able to focus on instruction.
