My Students

With nearly 95% of our school receiving free lunch, our scholars have and face many challenges within their neighborhoods, but at school, our goal is to provide the safest, engaging environment to promote their success. While embracing our literacy based school environment, these young scholars begin their learning as early as 7 a.m., and most don't stop until 6 p.m.!

My Project

Sounds can be so distracting when students are learning, but sounds can also be from the process of learning. In learning through the various ways of the differentiation process. Auditory is just as important as tactile. It provides student's with sound, words and increases their use of technology in their education.

Headphones allow for students to create their own privacy and means of comfort when learning with sound.

Many of the programs that we use have an auditory component. This allows for differentiation to take place within our class room. Students have an increased level of focus and concentration when using headphones.
