My Project
Our school guitar repair club (Tuned Up) is learning to repair, adjust, access, and update modern electric guitars and basses. We want to practice using humbuckers/vintage wiring and vintage-style bridges, as these present their own unique world of problems to be acquainted with.
Instruments are only as good as their pickups, and this seems to be the major issue we are encountering.
Humbuckers are not as common in basses, and we seem to be seeing more of them. Before we attempt real repairs, we need a solid bass to practice on.
