We have students that are gifted and talented and need to be challenged.
We have students with learning disabilities that need extra time, support and attention in order to be successful. We have students of all races and backgrounds. We have students with ADD/ADHD, autism, emotional disturbances, and other disabilities. Each child is precious and valued and each has their own unique talents and abilities. All deserve a good education and the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and loving environment.
My Project
As I continue to grow in my understanding of technology and it's ability to help children learn and progress, I am finding myself using it in the classroom much more than ever before.
Our grade now has a Chromebook lab and I have started to use it in many different ways.
From reading programs to coding, my students are using the laptops to improve in many areas.
There is one problem however, and that is we don't have enough headphones for the students to use when we are on the Chromebooks as a class. This is making it difficult for them to hear and concentrate on the different activities, especially when trying to hear the sounds of words when working on phonics skills.
I am hoping to get a class set of headphones so students will be able to maximize the full benefits of their time on the Chromebooks.
