My Project

Our beloved classroom rug was damaged this summer during a waxing mishap. We depend on our rug as a gathering place for our morning meeting, the daily read aloud, and for various small groups throughout the day.

Student engagement increases exponentially when they are gathered together on the rug instead of sitting at their desks.

Students are eager to share with their partners as well as with the whole group. The rug makes our classroom inviting and warm place to learn. It's an ideal space for students to gather for small group work as well as play games.
