This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are attending a first year transformation, Title 1 elementary school in Oklahoma City. The students come from many different backgrounds and many are economically disadvantaged.

My goal is to give my students the opportunities to learn using technology that schools in the surrounding areas already have.

I am thankful to be in a school where the children are so loving and eager to learn new things. Every day is something new and it is such a joy watching my students explore new things!

My Project

Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. We are so fortunate to have chrome books for our classrooms, but we do not have headphones. The students read and listen to books, but it is very distracting without headphones.

It is so hard to focus on your book when you are hearing the stories from everyone around you because we don't have headphones.

It is so important for our students to be able to read exciting and engaging books on the computers. Having quality headphones will help them be able to focus and enjoy their books so much easier!
